Vallarta Solar Guide is an independent, English-first editorial website for American, Canadian and European residents of Puerto Vallarta and the Bahía de Banderas area who want to understand solar panels, batteries and backup power.

What we are not

We do not install equipment, sell electricity, or represent CFE, CNE or any government agency. We are not an engineering firm. Nothing on this site is a substitute for an on-site assessment by a qualified professional.

Who writes the guides

Guides are currently written and maintained by the Vallarta Solar Guide editorial team. When a named author or technical reviewer contributes, their name and the scope of their review will be shown on the guide. We do not display reviewer credentials we haven’t verified.

Our approach
